My what seemed to be a never-ending hunt for a bronzer finally ended today. I’ve been on a madhunt for a matte, pale bronzer. It seemed that the palest of bronzers were like dirt on my face and/or were way too brown based or orange based. I was on the verge of just buying a really dark blush and using it as my contour UNTIL… I went to Ulta today and decided to delve deeper into the ‘fancy’ aisles than I usually do. I checked out the Too Faced section and I actually found a pale bronzer. and it was the one I’ve been hearing about for awhile now, too and I just hadn’t realized it!
It’s Too Faced’s Chocolate Soleil bronzer in milk chocolate. and the best part? It SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE. It’s not overpowering and it’s not gross, either. It’s just amazing. I’m obsessed.
If you’re pale and need a bronzer, I highly recommend this bronzer. I’m not sure about a full-face look, but it’s absolutely perfect for contouring.
NYX ‘Deep Seductress’ Lip Set Review
Okay so I got this set on a website called Haute Look, you can sign up here. Anyway, it’s a website that hosts special sales on clothing, makeup and accessory brands. You can also book vacations through them! You can no longer buy this NYX set(each special only lasts about a week), but I will be listing each item’s name so if you see something you like, you can buy it at www.nyxcosmetics.com.
Let’s get to it, shall we? Let me just start out by saying that these lip items are the most moist, smooth and luxurious lipsticks/glosses I’ve ever worn. They’re phenomenal.
NYX is my go-to ‘drugstore’ makeup brand. They’re not sold at drug stores, but they are sold at Ulta. They’re very, very well priced and have any color of any kind of makeup you could ever need. They’re also professional products so you know you’re getting more bang for your buck. I would suggest purchasing online, though because in-store only has pinks/reds and usual colors. If you want more off-the-wall colors, you’d have to get them online.
In this kit I received,
Three lipsticks: ‘Black Cherry’, ‘Jaipur’ and ‘Black Onyx’.

First up, ‘Black Cherry’.
Overall, I’m really excited about this one. I’ll probably be wearing it to school very often. It glides on with no difficulty, the only problem that I had was that it didn’t layer very well therefore it never ended up being very opaque. I feel if I took the time to put it on correctly though instead of for these photos, it would layer better.
If I had to choose a color to layer the ‘Garnet’ gloss over, it would be ‘Black Cherry’. I didn’t take a photo of it on its’ own(whoops) but if you google it, it’s just a deep pinky color. I didn’t really like the outcome of it because I’m not a gloss person but it smells PHENOMENAL. Never have I smelled a makeup product like this!
Now for ‘Jaipur’..
Okay again, I’m happy. This is a good color for paler girls who don’t really want a really dynamic bright red lip. But I had a few problems with this one.. first, it was so soft. It’s already bending and scraping against the side of the tube. It gives phenomenal coverage but that softness scares me. I’m going to throw it in the freezer for a bit and see if that helps it at all.
Then ‘Black Onyx’..
I was SO. EXCITED. for this one. It was the main reason I even bought the kit. I’ve been looking for a well priced, solid black lipstick. Never thought NYX would let me down!! This black is impossible to get color on the lips with. Impossible. It just gives it a dark wash of dark gray. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a true black. But it just doesn’t come off well. Maybe with a little gloss, it would be easier to wear but I don’t think I could wear it out in public. It just doesn’t look right.
And finally,
I was so incredibly surprised by ‘Chocolate’. First of all, it’s so ridiculously mistitled. It’s not chocolate brown. In the tube, it’s this muted, peachy gray pink color and on the lips, a phenomenal pearly muted pink. I’m actually wearing it right now and want to wear it for every day to come. It looks so amazing and it’s SO smooth and non-drying. The pearlescent factor of it does not make it look cheap, it actually looks matte until you look at it verrrry close. This was my favorite piece in this set. Ridiculously awesome lip pencil.

Homecoming Makeup
In response.. or reference to my other post about Homecoming, the first look won and I kind of needed a better representation of the makeup that I guess I’ll be doing!! I’ve done my nails and makeup for each school dance I’ve attended(it’s only been two, nothing major) and this year won’t be any different. This is the makeup I’ll be wearing!!
Kind of annoyed that I couldn’t get my false lashes to stick, but oh well.. Enjoy!
My daily makeup routine
This is awesome!! I’m already being asked to post what makeup I wear on a day-to-day basis. Luckily, I have finally found my niché. Different years resulted in different ‘regular’ makeup that I ended up hating but got stuck in an ugly makeup rut that I just couldn’t get myself out of. I’ve finally landed on my feet and this is what I do on a daily basis:
