#8: Take Off Your Colours - You Me at Six
these boys.. my lord. if you have not seen them live yet then they HAVE to be on the top of your list. they are a sensational live band and this album was on repeat for months. there were SO many songs on this cd which made it even better.. there were EIGHTEEN!!!!!!!!!!!! i still don’t think i’ve mastered all the songs lyrics’ perfectly yet and i’ve had it since it dropped! when you think of bands from the UK, most teeny bopper girl would think of Bring Me The Horizon and before i had heard of YMAS, that’s what i would think of first, also. but i promise once you hear this album, they will be your favorite ‘chaps’.

#9: A Little Faster - There for Tomorrow
2009 was so There for Tomorrow’s year. After gaining a lot recognition from this year’s Warped Tour, they’ve gone onto 2010’s Take Action Tour. This release is absolutely.. just GREAT. They aren’t your typical pop punk band that are taking over this music scene lately, they are harder, rougher pop with bits of rock in them. Maile’s voice is so powerful in this album, ripping out repeating lines like ‘i told you so’ which would guilt anybody into apologizing. Each and every song on “A Little Faster” are dynamic in their own right from the slower songs such as ‘Burn the Night Away’ to the titled ‘A Little Faster’. You will never grow tired of this album if you start listening to it and i guarantee is will be one of your favorites in 2009, too.

#10: On Your Side - A Rocket to the Moon
man, i’ve been a fan of Nick Santino’s for what seems like forever. All through middle school and these first two years of high school i’ve loved his songs and his voice and his somewhat different approach on the ‘one man and a laptop’ band idea that there are so many of. Once ARTTM got signed back in ‘08 and became a real band, i haven’t seen anything but good stuff come from these guys. This EP came out the same day as The Summer Set’s ‘Love Like This’ and between the two, i favored the latter. But overall since the album dropped, almost every song off On Your Side has left an imprint on my heart in one way or another. It’s a truly awesome pop and gets you in a great mood.
